Running School Maths Days: Maths for a Day event box
During Maths Year 2000, the concept of the maths festival was born. We developed complete kits for schools events and public events which culminated in over 20 maths events taking place around London in the final week of MY2K! The expertise that was developed in creating that level of success has been used to create our Maths for a Day boxes.
Why not set up a whole school maths event - with a day of challenging, stimulating maths activities in a hall, gym or canteen? And - best of all, you get to keep the resources so that you can run it again whenever you like!
Maths for a Day is a complete box of games, puzzles and activities to support you in running a maths event. We have filled the box with enough games and puzzles to set up at least eight table games/activities, three large events (such as Scramble, based on Channel 4’s Countdown) and a huge selection of activity tasks for pupils to do as they move between tables and events.
The event box also has a comprehensive Organiser Guide containing help in setting up an event plus copies of all activities - select KS1/2 or KS3/4.
